Any particular reason for the 135 convertible over the 128?

It’s available, carmax warranty, faster, dat exhaust noise, etc.

Exhaust note is always a valid reason.

Wait... the turbo engine sounds better? They’re both 3.0L straight sixes right? Usually the N/A counterpart sounds better without turbos muffling/distorting the sound.
Don’t get me wrong, I’d go 135 > 128 every time given the choice, but still.

The 135is is significantly faster than a 128i, also generally a lot better equipped. Dat N47 and I are friends in real life and he might have been skewed toward the 135is because he really like the one my dad has.

I think it sounds comparable or even better: https://youtu.be/ojZ0FSf9U1w?t=…

That does sound pretty good. I approve. Just don’t overdo it — a coworker of mine has a new M3 with an open exhaust and it sounds like shit in my opinion. All you hear are the unpleasant sounds, not the good ones we crave.

The exhaust that comes stock is the M-performance one, so it wouldn’t sounds as aggressive as an open pipe. But I see what you mean. A friend of mine had a wrx with an open pipe; and it was loud as shit.

I’m about to turn in my leased 135is coupe. It sounds awesome with the M exhaust. Hopefully those wheels are just plastidipped and you can get it off of there.
